Raised with purpose and care
We're LaVern Fry, a family-run breeder in Ligonier, IN. Every puppy is raised with daily care and family involvement.

Our story
We're the Fry family, a family-run Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breeder. Our puppies are raised as part of life on our 25-acre family farm, surrounded by our six children and the everyday activity of our home and farm.
We began breeding in 2021 after choosing Cavalier King Charles Spaniels for a simple reason: we loved their easygoing, fun-loving temperament.
Family is a big part of life here. We have six children, ranging in age from 2 to 13, and our home and farm are rarely quiet. Along with our Cavaliers, we have horses and ponies, a flock of chickens, and we raise whitetail deer for hunting ranches.
Our family also co-owns a furniture shop, where we work alongside our employees building rustic cabin furniture for wholesale stores throughout the United States. Between our family, animals, farm, and business, we stay busy—but we enjoy doing life together. Raising Cavaliers has become another special part of that life.
Why we do this
What first drew us to Cavaliers continues to be what we appreciate most about the breed: their easygoing and fun-loving personalities.
We enjoy raising these dogs and watching each puppy grow and develop its own personality. Our puppies get to begin life in a family setting with children and the normal activity that comes with living on a working farm.
Our goal is simple: to raise Cavaliers with care and help them begin their lives surrounded by people who enjoy and appreciate them. We do not just raise puppies. They become part of everyday family life here at Cornerstone Cavaliers.
"There is nothing quite like the steady companionship of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel by your side."
Growing Up as Part of the Family
At Cornerstone Cavaliers, our puppies are raised within our family environment.
With six children between the ages of 2 and 13, there is plenty of everyday family activity around our home. Our farm is also home to horses and ponies, chickens, and whitetail deer.
We believe that caring for animals is an important part of our family's life, and raising our Cavaliers fits naturally into that.
Life at Cornerstone Cavaliers
Our family lives on a 25-acre farm, where animals and the outdoors are a big part of everyday life. In addition to our Cavaliers, we have horses and ponies and a flock of chickens. We also raise whitetail deer for hunting ranches.
When we aren't working or caring for animals, you'll often find our family enjoying the outdoors. Camping is one of our favorite things to do together.
And there's one adventure still at the top of our family's list: Alaska. It's our dream vacation, and somewhere we would love to experience together someday.
Raising Our Cavaliers With Care
Our Cavaliers are an important part of our family and farm, and we take the responsibility of raising puppies seriously.
We chose this breed because we genuinely enjoy the Cavalier temperament, and we have continued raising them since beginning our breeding program in 2021.
Every puppy starts its journey here at Cornerstone Cavaliers as part of our family environment.
